When it comes to organizing, the name of the game I follow is ‘simple and cheap‘. In my own home organizing as well as in clients homes, I emphasize practicality over perfection. Fancy organizing gadgets are fun, but you don’t need them to get organized. Using items you already own, along with a good quality purge session, can easily bring order into your space. With a cardboard box, a drawer can be transformed and a cabinet shelf can be divided and conquered! If you are in search of organizing supplies, it’s important to get items that will really serve the function you need them for.
I recently shared my new favorite find, the ID Roller, and I realized there are a few supplies that are my “go to’s” when it comes to organizing. Although I do love making my own organizing tools, it’s also fun to find gadgets that help make the job a little easier. I’m excited to introduce a new feature here on Space for Living where I’ll share favorite supplies I use and love; a kind of organizer’s toolbox.
On the toolkit page, I am cataloging items that are functional and that will get the job done. My worst nightmare is to suggest items that would add to the clutter! I’ll be updating the page periodically, whenever I find a tried and true share-worthy item.
In addition to the toolkit, I also do love being inspired by fun gadgets that may never make it into my home, but may spark an idea or two. To find those items, you can check out my Pinterest wishlist board. (If you don’t have a Pinterest account yet, send me an email to get an invite. It is such a fun and free way to get inspired–or to procrastinate and get sidetracked if you are not careful!)
The toolkit page will also include some affiliate links which means if you find something you like and make a purchase, a very small percentage of the purchase price will go to support Space for Living. Any affiliate links will be clearly linked, and I will only include items that I believe will benefit you and your organizing efforts.
Check out my current favs and how I use them on the Toolbox page under Tip & Tools!
What are your favorite organizing tools? I always love to hear your tips. Share your favorite products in the comments or even leave a link to your Pinterest board!
