I had a blast exploring task manager apps for my first app review, so I decided a part II was in order!
These are my favorite apps– the ones I use all the time. You can call me obsessed but I promise you, I don’t spend all day playing with apps…really I don’t. But what I’ve found is that you can find an app for almost any project or need you have.
Gaming apps can be fun (and addicting), but what I love are apps that can increase your productivity and instead of wasting time can actually save you time in your day.
For Grocery Shopping
Grocery IQ
Pricebook
$1.99-This app allows you to manually collect prices from different stores for any individual item. It stores the list alphabetically for easy searching. It then calculates the amount of coupon needed to make it the lowest price. I previously used a paper version of this type of price tracking, but this app makes tracking prices SO much easier.
For Car Repairs
Car Minder Plus
– $1.99- This app easily records all your car maintenance and reminds you what’s due next. With a simple touch of a button it exports all the maintenance records into an email.Totally worth $2!
VehiCal
– free! -An easy template to record gas purchases and expenses. Excellent app if you need to track your mileage for business.
For Finances
Spend
– $.99 (free version is limited to 5 budgets)- I track our monthly budget with this app.You can set categories for specific spending or saving goals.I use this app as a high-tech version of Dave Ramsey’scash envelopes.
Mint
– free!-Track ALL your spending with this user friendly website and corresponding app.For all my lists!
For all my Lists
Simplelist
– free! or $1.99 if you want an ad-free version (I use the free one and just ignore the ads)- No bells and whistles and easy to navigate. I have lists for just about everything~gifts, restaurants to try, travel, goals…20 lists in all to be exact.
What about you? Any apps that make your to dos a breeze? Share your favorites below! Do you have a “can’t live without it” app? Are you already using any of the apps I recommended? If so, how are they working for you?
disclaimer-reviews and ratings are based on my needs only. For a more detailed analysis check out appshopper, pcworld , macworld and my personal favorite iphoneappgirl.

I've never heard of any of these, and I'm particularly intrigued by the Spend and Mint ones. My go-to apps (all free!) are Cozi, Evernote, and Ziplist, which also have corresponding websites. They do pretty much everything I need doing.
App reviews make me giddy; love my phone!

Kira,
You should totally check out Mint. It is so easy to use! Spend takes a little more effort since you have to enter you purchases manually but worth the extra time to me. I am going to check out Ziplist right now! Thanks!
