I am thrilled to have my very first guest post! Bethany emailed me to share her own 10 minute Tuesday project. She wrote,
I love the idea of 10 minute Tuesdays, I also find myself putting off organizing because it feels too daunting. But you make it feel manageable. Here’s an in process project I wanted to share.
I decided to use the top of a standing shelf as my spot for an inbox, my most urgent and active files as well as the spot where I unload my purse at the end of the day. It quickly became out of control! So I set my timer for 10 minutes and just dove in.
I had NO idea there was so much stuff on the top of this one shelf.
As I removed files I even found a whole stash of receipts just stuffed under my active files. And instead of my active files being… active, they were stuffed and stale.
I still have a box of items to sort through but it was wonderful to see my little shelf all clean. Now the only things allowed up there are the most used and most active items!
Didn’t she do a great job? Don’t you love her pretty folders?
There is still a box to sort through that didn’t make the 10 minute cut but now that her inbox is organized, she can sort through much quicker to decide what stays, goes, or is moved to a new home.
I love to see what you are doing to create space in your home! So keep’em coming! Email me with any before and after pics to share.

That looks great! I'm going to do a 10 minute file / landing area clean up tonight. Just ten minutes.
